Special Edition Webinar - The new Brightline
Join Michael & Ryan as they take a look at the new Brightline rules that came into effect on the 1st July 2024.
Description
The 1 July 2024 changes are the lates in a long line of tweaking to the bright-line rules which were first introduced in 2015.
The 2024 changes reinstate bright-line to the original two year test but go further.
In this webinar you will hear about
- Change to a 2 year bright-line
- When and what the two year test applies to
- What rollover relief is still available
- The new main home exclusion
- What happens during periods of construction
The latest change to a 2 year bright-line has brought with it a number of other changes and it will be important that Accountants and Lawyers are aware of these as they talk to clients. With so many changes in this area this webinar is a great opportunity to remove the risk of basing your advice on what the rules used to say.
