Presenters
James Cowan
James acts for employers and employees across all industries on a range of employment matters including personal grievances, disciplinary matters, policy advice and investigations. He has appeared in the Employment Court, District Court and High Court and also represented clients in various other tribunals including the Employment Relations Authority.
James has specialist expertise in advising on and conducting complex workplace investigations involving dishonesty, fraud, sexual misconduct, bullying, or other serious misconduct across all industries. James has conducted, observed, and represented clients in hundreds of investigation interviews.
Prior to joining Anderson Lloyd in 2017 James spent four years in the Forensics team at a ‘Big 4’ professional services firm, investigating employee fraud and advising on managing financial crime risks.
James also has a particular interest in legal matters involving whistleblowing disclosures and workplace privacy.
